These wonderful birds are ideal candidates for anthropomorphism, the tilt of the head and position of body and wings so often seem to express human emotions.
In this piece I can just imagine the 'teacher' saying " Come along girls, wings out and head dipped gracefully, and don't forget to bend your knees!"

I was born in Wales and now live in California having had the good fortune to visit most of Europe and some of America along the way. I find almost everything around me to be an inspiration. I work mostly in pencil and acrylics but I will experiment with any medium to achieve the effects I desire. I love to draw animals, from pets to wildlife.
